The General's visits to the GTA
The General of the Salvation Army, Lyndon Buckingham, did a 2 week tour of Canada in April - May 2026. On May 3, The General spoke at a united gathering in Toronto of Salvation Army Corps from around the GTA.
Our corps rented a bus to transport the congregation over to hear the General speak.
His message was inspiring as he asked us to keep our eyes on Jesus and let Jesus lead us into what He wants us to do.

Praying for our community
We joined with other faith groups to have a prayer walk in the Jane/Finch community on April 30th.
This prayer walk was the initiative of the police and happened simultaneously in all 16 divisions of the Toronto Police Services. The Theme was "Unity in Community" against guns, violence and all forms of hate.
It was a good time of connecting with other leaders and lay people in the community and there was a significant time of prayer as we walked.
