Who we are

Yorkwoods Community Church exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet practical human needs, and serve as a transforming presence in the Jane/Finch community.

Through meaningful partnerships and community collaboration, we work together to bring hope, support, and opportunity, helping build a brighter future for individuals and families of all ages.

Our history

Yorkwoods Community Church began as a church plant in the Downsview community before relocating to our current location in 2005.

For 20 years, we have faithfully served from this location, continuing a long-standing commitment to the Jane/Finch community. In 2025, we proudly celebrated 40 years of ministry, outreach, and service, a milestone that reflects decades of dedication, growth, and community impact.

Corp Officer and Pastor Mark Young

Captain Mark Young is the Corps and Community Ministries Officer at Yorkwoods Community Church in Toronto. With a heart for inner-city ministry and a background in crisis support, Mark is dedicated to providing both spiritual leadership and practical relief to families in the Jane and Finch community.
